Our Story: A Historic Pub in the Heart of Nuneaton
The Jail House Pub was born from a simple idea: to turn a piece of local history into somewhere extraordinary to eat, drink and celebrate.
History behind the bars
Set within a former 19th-century jail, our building has watched Nuneaton change for well over a century. Where prisoners once served their time, guests now settle into booths built into the original cells, surrounded by the brickwork and iron bars that tell the story of the place.
[Add the building’s history here: when it was built, when it served as a jail, and any local stories or characters connected to it.]
An atmosphere you will not find anywhere else
Every detail is designed to make you feel part of the story, while the welcome stays pure British pub.
1800s heritage
Original brickwork and iron bars, preserved and lit by warm lamplight.
Craft ales on tap
A well-kept bar of rotating ales, lagers and ciders alongside cocktails and fine spirits.
Authentic cell booths
Private booths built into the old cells, perfect for groups and celebrations.
Live entertainment
Bands, DJs, quizzes and live sport bring the cell block to life.
Part of the Nuneaton community
We are proud to be a local pub at heart. The Jail House is where Nuneaton meets for a catch-up after work, cheers on the big match, celebrates birthdays and gathers for Sunday lunch. We love giving local musicians a stage and welcoming visitors from across Warwickshire.
